Parkersburg, W.Va. – Lindsay Diehl Green, who was recently promoted to Vice President (VP), Assistant Director of Operations and Client Services for United Bank Wealth Management and United Brokerage Services, Inc., has been honored with prestigious national and statewide awards, recognizing her hard work and dedication to the banking and financial services industry, the Mid-Ohio Valley community and diversity, equity and inclusion (DE&I) efforts. This year, Diehl Green was named to the Bank Insurance & Securities Association’s (BISA) DE&I Rising Star Program Class of 2023, and in June, she was recognized in The State Journal’s Generation Next: 40 Under 40 Class of 2023.

“Lindsay has contributed greatly to the success of both United Brokerage and United Wealth Management through her dedication to client service, extensive financial knowledge and steadfast leadership,” said Matthew Humphrey, Executive Vice President, Head of Wealth and Investment Management and CEO of United Brokerage. “We are excited for her continued growth within the Company and are proud of all she has accomplished. On behalf of United, congratulations to Lindsay and thank you for all you do for our industry, United, your colleagues and the community.”

A native of Parkersburg, Diehl Green has an entrepreneurial story, helping to foster United’s growth across various divisions. She joined United Bank in 2005 as a Sales Associate and quickly grew through United’s Retail Department, becoming Branch Manager of the Parkersburg Main Branch, United’s local flagship office and the Company’s founding location, in 2008. Looking to cultivate her skills and knowledge in the financial services industry – all while continuing to grow her career with West Virginia’s Bank – Diehl Green transitioned to United Brokerage in 2010, when she became the division’s sole Client Service Associate, assisting the firm’s financial advisors throughout the footprint.

In 2019, she was promoted to Client Service Manager, a role created just for Diehl Green. As the lead of the Client Service Team, she managed a team of 10 Client Service Associates and worked alongside the firm’s 30 financial advisors to deliver custom-tailored, client-first strategies and guidance. And in early July 2023, she took her career to new heights when she was promoted to her current role of VP, Assistant Director of Client Services and Operations. In her new dual role, Diehl Green leads both the Client Service Team and operations for United Wealth Management and United Brokerage Services, taking an active role in the direction of both divisions and working closely with Matthew Humphrey.

“Throughout all her endeavors, Lindsay exemplifies commitment, drive and leadership. She has weaved herself into the fabric of United Brokerage Services, becoming an integral part of the division’s organic growth and expansion. She is also a standout in the DE&I field, leading by example and encouraging others to get involved by sharing her own story,” said Tom Mudlaff, President and Chief Operating Officer of United Brokerage Services. “We are fortunate to have Lindsay as not only part of the United team, but also serving as a leader throughout the Company. She is truly deserving of these honors, awards and beyond.”

An esteemed recognition and leadership development initiative, the BISA DE&I Rising Star Program is for financial services professionals who have demonstrated dedication to creating an impact in and advancing DE&I in the industry and within their respective communities. Only 15 individuals nationwide are selected each year to receive this award. Throughout the year, Diehl Green continues to engage in the program, contributing to and supporting BISA’s efforts to further DE&I initiatives at the industry level.

Diehl Green has been at the forefront of United’s commitment to DE&I, volunteering at the inception of the Company’s dedicated initiatives. In 2020, she became the DE&I Employee Liaison for United’s Parkersburg Market. Based on her leadership and contributions in this role, she was asked to serve on the Company’s DE&I Council (DEIC). In this capacity, she collaborates with department champions to spread the DE&I initiative throughout United, ensuring the all-encompassing message and actions are felt across the business. Most recently, Diehl Green was selected to be the upcoming 2023-2024 DEIC co-chair.

A West Virginia statewide honor, The State Journal’s Generation Next: 40 Under 40 Awards Program was established 18 years ago. Each year, the publication celebrates and honors 40 emerging young leaders under the age of 40 in industries across the Mountain State for their accomplishments, entrepreneurial endeavors and the impact they make within their job roles and within their respective communities.

In addition to her workplace leadership and DE&I efforts, Diehl Green contributes her time and talent to making the local community and the state a better place to live and work through various volunteer and service initiatives. She serves on the Children’s Home Society of West Virginia Advisory Council Board and is an active volunteer with the organization’s local site. Diehl Green is also a dedicated member of St. Andrew’s United Methodist Church, where she currently serves on the finance and stewardship committee and as chairperson of the young adult ministry.

“I am grateful for the nominations by my United family. Winning these awards – both the BISA Rising Star Award and the 40 Under 40 Award – would not have been possible without the opportunities that I have been blessed with from my peers and my superiors who have not only encouraged me throughout my journey but also continue to provide unwavering support in all aspects of my career,” Diehl Green said.
