We know professional development is an important aspect of an employee's career, and we want to see all our employees thrive. United Bank provides programs that help you grow in your current role while developing new skills for the future.
The Leadership Development Program
This 4-year program is designed to hone leadership skills and help members learn and grow through committee work, leadership lectures, conferences, formal meetings, and exposure to executive management. The Leadership Development Program focuses on creating, evaluating, modifying, and expanding upon United Bank’s products, lines of business, customer experiences, and internal processes. Through its recommendations and analysis, the Leadership Development Program has had a direct impact on earnings per share, and many of its former members are in senior leadership positions at our company today.
Step Up Program
A career development program specifically designed for high-performing retail employees across United Bank's footprint. This is a 7-month program aimed at developing the skills needed to succeed in Retail Banking and beyond.
Retail Banking Peer Mentor Program
This program helps team members grow their networking and coaching skills. Mentors get quarterly, mentor-focused learning opportunities and soft-skills training to equip them to create a safe learning space, increase social connection, and foster a sense of belonging through a supportive network.
Credit Preparatory Program
The Credit Preparatory Program helps employees develop the skills necessary to pursue a potential career with United’s Credit Department. Through a structured curriculum, mentorship, and interactions with Credit and Commercial Department leaders, participants grow their skills, create new connections, and unlock potential career opportunities at United Bank.
