Premier Partners

Partnering together for a better community.

At United Bank, we are proud of our relationships with the organizations that support the viability of the communities we serve. To recognize the 360-degree relationships United Bank has developed with nonprofit and public-sector agencies in our communities, we recently launched our Premier Partners Program.

Our Premier Partners are valued customers who share our commitment to:

Empower historically underserved areas and people

Develop affordable housing options

Support small business growth

Revitalize communities

At United, we work with our partners to understand community needs, implement product recommendations and provide services that will better meet the needs of the community.

To help further advance the mission of each organization, we support our partners by lending our time and resources through activities such as hands-on volunteerism, fundraising, serving as board members and corporate giving.

Our Premier Partners include agencies that address youth empowerment and youth education in a bilingual environment; provide decent, safe and affordable housing solutions focused on local needs; provide services and employment opportunities to veterans; provide free, high-quality medical care to low-income, uninsured adults; and provide emergency shelter, adoption, and other services to children and at-risk youth.

Partnerships in Action

United Bank Is Committed To Assisting Those Who Are Struggling With Substance Abuse Disorders

As part of our Premier Partner relationship, our United Bank team surprised Recovery Point of Huntington, WV with a $5,000* check. These funds help Recovery Point to provide long-term, residential recovery programs, based on the social model of recovery. They also offer a board-recognized Peer Recovery credential training at no cost to those with a desire to become certified. Since Recovery Point is a nonprofit organization, they provide several recovery programs to clients in need at no cost.

Increasing H.O.P.E. (Helping Others Prosper Economically) is a community based non-profit organization whose vision is to be a leader in the development and delivery of innovative financial literacy services in their community. Their focus is on Financial Training, Small Business Training and Housing. Dorthea Bernique, Executive Director, says, “The ability to budget, maintain a good credit score, create an emergency fund and develop a healthy attitude toward money are personal money management basics; they are the cornerstones we teach to begin the process of creating financial freedom.” Ms. Bernique believes that HOPE is what drives us all to achieve a better legacy for ourselves, our families and our communities. Increasing H.O.P.E has been serving the Tri-County area since 2003.
