Important Details for Program Managers

VISA® Account Cardholders:

The current individual 16-digit VISA® account number assigned to each card and ghost account will not be changing. Please note that individual cardholder and ghost account expiration dates as well as security codes (3-digit code located on the back of each card) may change. Ghost account users will receive updated information prior to the February 21, 2021 effective date.

MasterCard® Account Cardholders:

Your existing MasterCard® Business Card Program is being transitioned to United Bank’s VISA® Purchasing Card Program. This transition will result in each authorized cardholder receiving a new United Bank VISA® purchasing card, including a new 16-digit card number, expiration date and security code (3-digit code on the back of each card).

Important Dates Regarding the Transition of Your Purchasing Card Program

  February 8, 2021 – February 12, 2021United Bank VISA® Purchasing Cards mailed this week.
  February 12, 20215:00 p.m. – VISA® Online Card Management access will be disabled.
  February 17, 20215:00 p.m. – Current authorized cardholder online account access will be disabled. Access will not be available after 5:00 p.m. February 17 through February 21, 2021.

5:00 p.m. – Payments made in a branch or by mail that are received after this date and time will be posted to your account on Monday, February 22, 2021. This may cause a delay in the availability of funds.
  February 18, 2021 – February 21, 2021Automatic payments to your account scheduled between these dates will be credited to your account on Monday, February 22, 2021 and the funds will be available the following day. Customers will not incur a late fee. All scheduled payments to your account after February 22, 2021 will continue without disruption.
  February 19, 2021If authorized users have not received their new purchasing card, please call 1.800.242.7600.
  February 20, 2021Authorized users may continue to use their existing United Bank card for purchases through this date.
  February 21, 2021All existing United Bank cards will automatically be disabled.

Authorized cardholders will need to take the following actions:
  • Activate new United Bank VISA® purchasing cards.
  • Begin updating all automated or recurring payments where previous account information is currently registered. 
  • Destroy old cards.

  February 22, 2021New online account access becomes available. Existing online account users must create new login credentials utilizing their new purchasing card.

New online administrative services become available for program managers.

Additional Details for Program Managers

  • Remaining Balances: Any remaining balances on current authorized accounts will be transferred to each cardholder’s new United Bank VISA®purchasing card account.
  • Payments:
    • In-person payments can continue to be made at any United Bank branch.
    • Payments via mail can continue to be sent to: P.O. Box 3364, Charleston, WV 25333.
    • Online payments: See Online Account Management below.
  • Billing Cycle: Billing due dates may change by 1- 3 days before or after current due dates.
  • Interest Rates: How we determine interest rates will not change.
  • Paying Interest: Your due date is at least 25 days after the close of each billing cycle. We will not charge you interest on purchases if you pay your New Balance shown on your prior billing statement in full by the due date shown on that prior billing statement.
  • Fees: Some fees are changing. Please review the enclosed Fee Schedule.
  • Statements: Statements will have a new look and feel.

Online Card Management Services

  • New Online Card Management and Administrative Services are now available.
    • To access online account management, you will need to enroll your new United Bank VISA® Credit Card. If you were previously enrolled in online account management, you cannot use your old login informationClick here to access the new login/enrollment page..
  • VISA® Intellilink Spend Management: There will be no disruption to this service. Authorized cardholders and administrators will continue to have access during and after transition.
  • VISA® Online Card Management: Access to VISA® Online Card Management will be disabled effective February 12, 2021.

Enhanced Card Features With Your New United Bank VISA® Purchasing Card Program

  • Enhanced Security Features:
    • Automated text and email alerts on all suspicious transactions, placing the power of approval directly at your fingertips. 
    • Create custom alerts, including minimum payment notifications and reminders, available balance, transaction limits, payments posted, foreign transactions and more.
  • Contactless Card Technology: Pay in seconds without swiping or inserting your purchasing card.
