United Bank’s Affordable Housing Partners Receive $1.67 Million in Grant Funds

Charleston, W.Va. – The Federal Home Loan Bank of Pittsburgh (FHLBank) announced its 2016 Affordable Housing Program grant recipients. United Bank, a FHLBank member financial institution, sponsored six grant applicants, four of which received awards.
In 2016, United Bank helped its partners access nearly $1.67 million to construct or rehab 146 affordable housing units in the upcoming year for low- and moderate-income families and individuals fighting addiction throughout West Virginia. Through affordable housing partnerships with FHLB of Atlanta and Pittsburgh, United Bank has helped community partners secure over $10 million to provide or maintain affordable housing for 863 households since 2006.
